Update 15h29: Reason for outage
Due to power loss on 2 top of rack switches in USDC ZAV we lost the network connections to each server connected to these switches.
The reason for outage is that a PDU where these switches were connected to failed and stopped giving power.
In the near future this problem shouldn’t be possible anymore as we are currently testing a new kind of top of rack switch in our lab.
These new switches will have redundant power supplies so there is a minimised risk for power failure on a single power supply.
Impact: Downtime for customers connected to those switches from 15h16 until 15h21
15h16: We are currently facing network issues on part of our network in USDC ZAV due to an problem with 2 of our switches.
This issue should be resolved in max. 5 minutes
